Growing dental banner: what it changes for the team
A banner going from one to three clinics in three years creates rare opportunities for its team. Here is what growth changes concretely, and how to benefit from it.

What is a dental banner?
A group of clinics sharing a name, a formula (for example 7-day opening), protocols, an operations management and common services (marketing, purchasing, centralized front desk), while keeping dentists who practise and often own a share of their clinic. Go Dentiste is one: Valleyfield (2025), Vaudreuil-Dorion (2026), Saint-Zotique (2027).
How is it different from a consolidator?
A consolidator is a large company, often financed by investment funds, that buys clinics and centralizes their management; a local banner keeps close management, co-owner dentists and a human scale. For the team, it changes the proximity of decisions and the culture.
Which positions does growth create?
Clinic coordinators, sterilization or purchasing leads, trainers for new teams, front desk team leads, and for dentists, partner positions. Each opening triggers a series of internal promotions in the existing clinics.
Can I change clinics within the banner?
Generally yes: same protocols, same software, same management. A Valleyfield employee can follow the Vaudreuil-Dorion opening or work in both. It is a real advantage for work-life balance (closest clinic) and for your career (new responsibilities).
Does growth make the work more stable?
Yes: several clinics spread the risks (a dentist leaving, a local drop in clientele) and the group structure funds equipment and pay better. A single clinic depends on one owner; a banner has a management team and a plan.
How does the formula stay the same from one clinic to another?
Through written protocols, a common operations manager (Maryse Milton at Go Dentiste), dentists who alternate between clinics and experienced employees who take part in openings. The patient finds the same welcome; the employee finds the same bearings.
Do employees take part in growth decisions?
The best banners consult their team on schedules, the layout of new clinics and procedures, and entrust openings to experienced employees. It is a way of recognizing seniority and keeping the culture.
What is the impact on dentists?
They get access to new clinics with patients provided, to colleagues and specialists, and above all to a path to partnership. Go Dentiste’s model lets a dentist become a co-owner with no down payment for eligible projects: see Become an owner.
Does growth have drawbacks?
It requires adaptation: new colleagues, evolving procedures, management sometimes stretched across several sites. A well-run banner plans its openings, trains before opening and does not overstretch its teams. Ask how the last opening went for the team.
How do you seize the opportunities of a growing banner?
Make your interests known (coordination, training, opening, another clinic), train, and be reliable: openings are entrusted to trusted people. Go Dentiste is recruiting for Vaudreuil-Dorion and already for Saint-Zotique.
