Orthodontics corrects the position of the teeth and the bite, for cosmetic reasons but also functional ones: chewing, hygiene, tooth wear, gum and jaw-joint health. There are two main options: fixed braces, which are very versatile, and removable clear aligners, discreet and comfortable for mild to moderate cases.

Clear aligners
Clear aligners are a series of transparent, removable trays that gradually move the teeth into alignment. Each set is worn 20 to 22 hours a day for one to two weeks before moving on to the next. They straighten crowded, spaced or slightly rotated teeth discreetly, without brackets or wires.
Braces (orthodontic appliances)
Braces are fixed orthodontic appliances made of brackets bonded to the teeth and connected by a wire that applies gentle, continuous pressure to move the teeth and correct the bite. They treat crowding, spacing, overbites, underbites and crossbites in children, teens and adults.
