Your role as a dental hygienist
- Screening exams, scaling, polishing and root planing, within your autonomous scope of practice
- Digital and panoramic X-rays, sealants, fluoride, oral hygiene education
- Periodontal follow-up, preventive treatment planning, digital records
- Close collaboration with dentists and assistants; time planned for every patient, no rushing
- Patients of all ages, including many children and families, in bright, well-equipped rooms
Who we are looking for
- DEC in dental hygiene and member in good standing of the Ordre des hygiénistes dentaires du Québec (OHDQ)
- Graduating students and experienced hygienists welcome: onboarding is supported
- Thoroughness, autonomy, a gentle approach with anxious patients and children
- Working French; English is an asset, especially in Vaudreuil-Dorion

Frequently asked questions
What schedules are offered to hygienists?
Vaudreuil-Dorion is open Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Valleyfield 7 days a week: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. from Friday to Sunday. You can work days, Tuesday evenings or weekends (in Valleyfield), full-time or part-time; the schedule is built with you.
How much time is planned per patient?
Time is planned to allow quality work and hygiene education, without rushing. You discuss it with the director of clinical operations at the interview.
I am finishing my studies: can I apply?
Yes. We welcome graduating students and dental hygiene interns, with onboarding supported by the hygienists and dentists already in place.
Which clinic can I choose?
Valleyfield (open), Vaudreuil-Dorion (open) or Saint-Zotique (2027). You can also combine two clinics if you wish.
I graduated abroad: can I work with you?
Yes. While your OHDQ process is under way (equivalency recognition, the Quebec–Switzerland arrangement or licence-on-licence from another province), we can welcome you in a dental assistant or coordination position, then as a hygienist as soon as you are registered.
